Every year, Earth Day on April 22 is an important date for the global environmental protection movement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to this green movement, MCU Library introduced the Cool Rider Desk last year. It is not only a desk but also a miniature power station! We invite all faculty members and students to work together in the spirit of \u201cpedaling with one heart,\u201d converting kinetic energy into electricity while exercising and reading books from the Green Theme Collection for knowledge about protecting the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location: Taipei Campus Library and Taoyuan Campus Library
Eligibility: MCU Faculty, staff, and students<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Participate <\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Never say that one person doesn\u2019t make a difference\u2014join us and be part of the change!
Complete the following three steps\u2014Ride, Read, and Go Green<\/strong>\u2014to receive a limited-edition gift!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Ride for Power<\/font><\/strong> \u2013 Ride on the Cool Rider Desk(eKinekt) and pedal for 5 minutes of \u201cgreen pedaling.\u201d Scan the QR code on the desk to unlock your \u201cPedal Points.\u201d<\/li>
  2. Read for Sustainability<\/font><\/strong> \u2013 Select three physical books from the \u201cGreen Theme Collection\u201d in the display area.
    \u203bExhibition Area: In Taoyuan, please go to the New Book Display Area; in Taipei, please go to the Self-Study Center on the 3rd floor (next to the Cool Rider Desk).<\/li>
  3. Live Green<\/font><\/strong> \u2013 Borrow the books at the circulation desk and show your \u201cPedal Points\u201d to redeem a gift for green lifestyle.
