Academic Year of 2022 Theme Book Fair

In response to the “Believe in Reading, Co-creation Generation” action plan organized by Commonwealth Publishing Co., Ltd, ASE Technology Holding Co., Ltd has selected 100 books to donate Ming Chuan University Library. Published by Commonwealth Publishing Co., Ltd., the donated collection includes 10 themes: experts’ ideas, grasping trends, financial thinking, deep thinking, scientific literacy, facing challenges, getting close to paragons, thinking about life, mental training, and advanced learning.
The book fair activity will be held from Nov. 7 to Nov. 11, 2022 at Taoyuan Campus Library; all faculty members and students are welcome to participate the event. Let us experience the book fair spirit through putting reading into practice. “Reading makes the person, builds an enterprise, changes a city”.

Activity Details: Do you want to know what books are designated for the “Collections List” by faculty members from each school? Being a member of one of those Schools, have you read all of these classics? Taipei, Taoyuan, and Kinmen Campus are going to hold a Collections List.

The book fair is held in line with the goals of “Clean water and sanitation” (Goal 6), “Responsible consumption and production” (Goal 12), “Climate action” (Goal 13), “Life below water” (Goal 14), and “Life on land” (Goal 15) in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs ). The activity also focuses on the goal of practicing plastics and carbon reduction in daily life in two aspects of environmental protection: take action to reduce plastic use and transform your thoughts about reduction of plastic use. Through the book fair activity, readers can get to know how to improve water resources, reduce the use of plastic items, recognize the impact of climate change, and focus on sustainable use of marine ecology through reading. Let us do our part and become the change that we want to see.
