Opening Hours And Services During Summer Session 2022

MCU library services have been adjusted correspondingly during summer session from July 1^st to September 4^th, 2022 as follows: (6/17, 2022 update)

1. On July 1^st, MCU library will be resuming provide services for readers who hold the interlibrary loan card and temporary library card (such as alumni, MCU faculty’s dependents and MCU library friends etc.). Meanwhile, apply for new library cards and temporary visitor cards will be temporarily suspended.

2. Opening hours for summer session:

• July 1^st to August 31^st [7/15 ~ 7/24 Closed for Summer Administrative Recess]
  • Monday to Thursday 08:30 ~ 16:00
  • Closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
• September 1^st to September 4^th
  • Monday to Friday 08:30 ~ 17:00
  • Closed on Saturday and Sunday.
• Provides library circulation services and reading areas as usual. During the library closing session, the reading rooms are available at the 5th floor on Taipei campus library as well as the FF101 on Taoyuan campus.

3. Extension of the loan and reservation period in all campuses:

     (1) Extension of loan period

• The expiry date since 2022.6.30 to 2022.9.15 will be extended to 2022.9.16, and the overdue fines will also be suspended during this period.

     (2) Extension of reservation and transfer request reservation date

• For books that have been notified to pick up (reserved or requested books), the reservation date will be extended to September 16th, 2022.
• Due to the extension of the preceding paragraph, reservation applications that have not been returned will be processed after September 16th, 2022. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

4. Home Delivery Service (7/1 ~ 8/31 only): MCU library offers a free home delivery service for library books.

• MCU faculty and students can request books online from both campuses.
• Application Procedure:

         (1) Please fill the online e-Form to apply for Home Delivery Service.

         (2)Please search for the books you need throughout library online catalogue then place a request.

5. Book drop is opened all the time:

    ※ Please use the book drop to reduce the chance of contact (do not put DVD or CD-ROMs with books in); or send them back to the library in double registered form.
