Earth Day 4/22 Pop-Up Event: “Pedal Together • Read for the Earth”

Every year, Earth Day on April 22 is an important date for the global environmental protection movement.

In response to this green movement, MCU Library introduced the Cool Rider Desk last year. It is not only a desk but also a miniature power station! We invite all faculty members and students to work together in the spirit of “pedaling with one heart,” converting kinetic energy into electricity while exercising and reading books from the Green Theme Collection for knowledge about protecting the environment.

Event Period: April 20–22, 2026
Location: Taipei Campus Library and Taoyuan Campus Library
Eligibility: MCU Faculty, staff, and students

Complete the following three steps—Ride, Read, and Go Green—to receive a limited-edition gift!

1. Ride for Power – Ride on the Cool Rider Desk and pedal for 5 minutes of “green pedaling.” Scan the QR code on the desk to unlock your “Pedal Points.”
2. Read for Sustainability – Select three physical books from the “Green Theme Collection” in the display area.
   ※Exhibition Area: In Taoyuan, please go to the New Book Display Area; in Taipei, please go to the Self-Study Center on the 3rd floor (next to the Cool Rider Desk).
3. Live Green – Borrow the books at the circulation desk and show your “Pedal Points” to redeem a gift for green lifestyle.
   ※Gifts are limited and available while supplies last. Each participant may redeem once only.
