“Reading books for self-reconciliation; accompanying you from rainy days to sunny ones.”
Modern society demands speed and positivity which forces us to wear a smiling mask, suppress or ignore emotions and only increases our psychological burden. In this book exhibition, we don’t rush to erase anxiety or sadness but allow them to exist in during emotionally rainy days. Through reading, we practice labeling feelings with precision; through self-awareness, we create a buffer space between stimulus and response. When reconciling with our true selves, we follow “heart guidance” (values), transforming emotional energy into growing momentum after the rain gives way to clear skies, to a self-awakened life.

This exhibition is organized into four thematic zones based on the psychological process of emotional regulation (Aware → Pause → Values → Transform), guiding readers step-by-step to restore their minds.

This is not an assignment, but a dialogue game with yourself.
This is an exercise for emotional externalization. Paint to surface your emotions and tell yourself: “Whether it turns out to be a cheerful fairy visiting or an angry monster suddenly barging in, they are just today’s passers by.” This distances you from the emotions, keeps you immersed in the happy moments, sets you free being a hostage to low feelings, and tenderly embraces every version of yourself.
How to Participate:
- Pick up a pen and draw/color your expressions on the blank face banner at the event site.
- Choose any 5 books.
- Borrow them at the counter and show your completed painting from STEP 1 to redeem a pack of Chiikawa Tissues.
