Whether you plan to stay home to beat the heat or head back to your hometown to recharge, the library has prepared an exclusive “Summer Energy Pumping Station” for you this summer!

Activity Period: June 8 to June 26
Target Audience: MCU faculty, staff and students
Venue: Taipei Campus Library, Taoyuan Campus Library, Kinmen Reading Room
Stop debating about what to read and let your intuition take the lead! We have packaged brand new books from various fields into mystery boxes (5 new books per box). Ignoring book titles or blurbs, you can completely break out the reading comfort bubble! Come enjoy the stress-relieving pleasure of popping open the paper boxes. You can even redeem energy snacks upon checking them out!
STEP 1 【Soul-Piercing Poke】
Go to the “Summer Energy Poke-a-Prize” board in the exhibition area, follow your intuition to poke open a hole, and draw your “Exclusive Energy Code.”
STEP 2 【Find Your Supplies】
Take your code slip and head to the display rack to find the mystery box, wrapped in kraft paper, with the corresponding number.。
STEP 3 【Energy Activation】
Present the mystery box and code at the counter to complete the borrowing process and redeem a supply pack.
While preparing to go home for the summer, do you struggle between a long list of books and heavy luggage to be packed?
Don’t worry. You pick the books, and the library will ship them for you!
As long as you reach the designated number of books, we will pack them into an “Energy Airdrop Box” which will be delivered directly to your home with extra energy supplies enclosed as a bonus!
STEP 1 【Freely Choose the Books】 Relax and select 10 or more books from the library for your summer reading.
STEP 2 【Apply for an Airdrop and Claim Your Prize】Borrow books at the counter and fill out the “Energy Airdrop Delivery Form.” Then, hand the books and the completed delivery form to the Librarian to receive an extra supply pack and take home double joy!
STEP 3 【Easy Home Receipt】Once the procedures are completed, you can head home with your hands relaxed and wait for the exclusive, door-to-door “Energy Airdrop Box” sent by the library for free!

【About Activity 1: Summer Energy Poke-a-Prize】
- No returns or exchanges for mystery boxes: Enjoy a random selection of new books and embrace the surprise of unexpected reading!
- While supplies last: Quantities of mystery boxes and energy supplies are limited. So, hurry and grab yours!
【About Activity 2: Energy Airdrop Box: Free Door-to-door Delivery】
- Limited to Taipei and Taoyuan campuses: This service is not available at the Kinmen Library.
- Taiwan main island only: We regret that we cannot provide shipping to offshore islands or overseas.
- Verify the accuracy of the information: Please double-check your name, phone number, and address when filling out the form to prevent your energy pack from going astray!
- Recipient must sign: If no one signs upon the arrival of the package, we cannot provide a second shipment!
- Limited Quota: The event has limited capacity; once full, it will end early.
【General Borrowing and Returning Rules】
- Return Books at peace in the upcoming semester: Enjoy “Whole-Summer Book-Borrowing”—simply return the books at the beginning of next semester’s classes! (Note: You must cover the shipping cost if returning books by mail.)
- Please take good care of the books: In case of loss or severe damage (e.g., water damage), the Fine and Compensation Procedures for Library Materials will apply.
